Legend has it that the first of the lightkeepers of the
order of the inner sanctum of keridia,came from a lineage of a human thief.
A thief from a small village found his way into the portal of light,he was
searching for anything he could find to save his mother of an illness.The gatekeeper's guardian saw him creep in but did not stop him because he knew of his intentions.The thief came across the library where he rummaged around for a book tht he thought would hold instruction to create remedies for sicknesses.As the thief proceeded to leave through the portal,dargon struck him down and approached him, saying "I know why you came,a honourable cause.But you cannot leave with that book.In the wrong hands it would be dangerous."

The thief looked slightly stunned and dazed and tried to shield his face with his hands,he recovered and squinted at auden's light shining brightly obscuring his vision,before saying "Are you god?,my wife is dying,plse have pity on us."
"All right,you may have that book and i will see to it that your wife will be well again.The book you hold now holds the secret to elthredite,a substance as old as creation itself,a channel at which magic flows.With its incantations you can create many spells.I charge you with its safekeeping,do not let it fall into evil hands.Protect it with your life.".Saying that auden touched the thief on the forehead and said The artifact is now bound to you,if it is destroyed so too will you be destroyed.Magic flawed from auden's hand into the thief's veins.With that the thief fell out of the portal entrance back to celestial isle,wondering if he had indeed lost his mind.As he approached his village,true to the auden's word,his wife was well again and came to greet him."Come she said to her husband let us go to greener pastures,my family will be happy to see us.With that,they packed up and went to see her family to a place that would become a community and the birthplace of keridia.
